Nightly Win10
2 years agoPingsender.exe is known as Firefox, it also has the following name IEMonitor Application or Nightly and it is developed by Mozilla Foundation, it is also developed by Tonec Inc. We have seen about 100 different instances of pingsender.exe in different location. Pingsender is activated from the second browsing session on. It is launched as a separate process during Firefox shut down, and attempts to send the telemetry data that was collected during the browsing session to Mozilla.
Hi all. I'm running Firefox Nightly 55.0a1 (2017-04-29) (64-Bit), and I am running Windows 10 on my PC. As of today, presumably after Nightly updated, closing Nightly now spawns a command window that opens briefly and then immediately closes. I wasn't sure if this is a new experimental feature, some sort of bug, or malware that I've acquired. This raised my concern only because I've come across browser hijackers that open a brief command window upon browser launch in the past, so I wanted to run this by you guys first just to check. Thanks in advance! Here's a screenshot of the process. I'm too slow to grab any info from it through process explorer
